Terms of Service

This document should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication. It is provided as a starting framework.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SLP Spark ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
SLP Spark is a documentation and productivity tool for speech-language pathologists. The App provides session data collection, AI-assisted SOAP note generation, therapy plan creation, caseload management, and related clinical documentation features. SLP Spark is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or provide clinical direction.
3. AI-Generated Content
SLP Spark uses artificial intelligence to generate SOAP notes, therapy plans, progress reports, IEP goals, and other documentation. All AI-generated content is a draft and must be reviewed, edited, and approved by a qualified licensed clinician before use in any clinical, educational, or administrative context. SLP Spark makes no guarantee that AI-generated outputs are accurate, complete, or appropriate for any individual student or clinical situation. The clinician of record is solely responsible for all documentation submitted or acted upon.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
SLP Spark is available by paid subscription only. Subscriptions are managed exclusively through the Apple App Store via your Apple ID. Current pricing is $24.99/month or $179.99/year. Prices are subject to change with notice. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To cancel, manage your subscription in iPhone or iPad Settings under your Apple ID. SLP Spark does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds — all billing disputes must be directed to Apple.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to: (a) use the App only for lawful purposes; (b) not share your account credentials; (c) maintain the confidentiality of any student information you enter in accordance with applicable law including FERPA; (d) review all AI-generated outputs before clinical use; (e) comply with your employer's and licensing body's documentation requirements.
6. Student Data and Privacy
SLP Spark stores data you enter about students, sessions, and goals. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the App complies with applicable student privacy laws (including FERPA). Do not enter full names or other directly identifying information if your institution's policies prohibit it. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
7. Not a HIPAA Business Associate
SLP Spark is a productivity and documentation drafting tool. We are not acting as a HIPAA Business Associate. You are responsible for ensuring that your documentation practices meet your organization's HIPAA and compliance obligations.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and software in SLP Spark are owned by SLP Spark and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLP SPARK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
