Audio Recordings & Transcriptions
SLP Spark may allow users to record therapy sessions for transcription, note generation, and workflow assistance.
Local Recording Storage
Whenever possible, recordings are initially stored locally on the user’s device.
Users maintain control over recordings and may delete them from the device.
AI Processing
When AI-powered transcription or SOAP note generation is requested:
- Audio may be securely transmitted to third-party AI processing providers
- Personally identifiable information (PII/PHI) may be minimized or obfuscated before transmission when possible
- AI providers are used solely for processing requested outputs
We do not sell recordings or session data.
Protected Health Information (PHI)
SLP Spark is designed to support clinician workflows but users are responsible for determining whether their use complies with applicable laws and workplace policies, including:
- HIPAA
- FERPA
- State privacy laws
- School district policies
Users should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information whenever possible.

Subscription & Billing
SLP Spark Pro subscriptions are currently managed through Apple App Store billing.
We do not directly store full payment card information.
Subscription status may be verified through Apple and related backend systems to determine access eligibility.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including:
- Encrypted HTTPS connections
- Secure authentication systems
- Restricted backend access
- Secure cloud infrastructure providers
- Access controls and monitoring
